Teen meetings set by AA and NA
There are now 12 Step meetings for teens. Narcotics Anonymous will be Tuesdays from 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. Alcoholics Anonymous will be Thursdays from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Both will be at Arizona’s Children Association, 900 N. Beeline Highway, Suite B.

Rim Country Toastmasters
Rim Country Toastmasters meets at 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays in the MHA Auxiliary building (next to Almost New Shop) at 308 E. Aero Dr., Payson.

Veterans of Foreign Wars
The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America will meet at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the American Legion Post #69, located at 709 E. Highway 260.

Moose Lodge events
The Women of the Moose meet at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month at the lodge. The Loyal Order of the Moose meetings are at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
The lodge has a Thursday Fish Fry from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekly dinner specials are available.

Kickin Cancer Support Group Meets from noon to 1 p.m., the first Wednesday of every month at the First United Methodist Church.

Payson Young Professionals
The Payson Young Professionals Club meets from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of each month at Famous Sam’s. As part of the Kiwanis, it is an international service organization with the local goal of helping Rim Country children.
Weight Watchers meets at 5 p.m. every Wednesday at the Masonic Lodge, 200 E. Rancho Road (next to the fire station).

PAWS in the Park
PAWS in the Park, the group that built the off-leash dog park at Rumsey Park, will meet at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2 in the meeting room of the Payson Public Library, also in Rumsey Park.
A light supper will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the meeting at about 7 p.m. All users of the dog park are encouraged to attend to share ideas and concerns.

TOPS Chapter 373 meets at Shilow Christian Fellowship Hall, 502 E. Rancho Road every Thursday (this is a new location). Weigh-in starts at 7:20 a.m., with the meeting at 8:30 a.m.

Genealogy group meets
James Hunt, Major General, United States Air Forces, Retired, will be speaking at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 3 the Northern Gila County Genealogy Library, 302 E. Bonita St., Payson.
General Hunt was the Deputy Commanding General of the United States Forces in Iraq. He will be speaking on the “Tribal and Cultures of the Iraqi and Arab World.”
High Country Garden Club
The Feb. 3 meeting of High Country Garden Club is all about seeds. Please come and hear Cayci Vuksanovich, who will speak on the starting and propagating of seeds. February is the month to begin spring gardening by creating seedlings for later planting.

Payson Area Computer Association
The Payson Area Computer Association will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, in the meeting room of the Payson Public Library. We will feature Gene Barlow from User Group Relations. Gene will do a presentation on Acronis Products.
Guests are always welcome. The first meeting is always free. Membership is only $10 per year per family.
Ponderosa Men’s Breakfast planned
The Ponderosa Men’s Breakfast will be at 8 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 5 at Ponderosa Baptist Church, 1800 N. Beeline Highway, Payson. Enjoy “Breakfast for a Buck” and guest speakers Jim Robertson and Andy Poland, who will share about how they found the real Jesus.

American Legion Riders
The Payson American Legion Riders February meeting is at Tiny’s Restaurant Saturday, Feb. 5. Breakfast is at 9:15 a.m. with a business meeting to follow at 10 a.m.
Members will be reviewing the new T-shirt design and discussing planned activities to encourage community and merchant cooperation in the Annual Charity Run to benefit the Payson Supply Line.
The Payson Supply Line is a 501C3 charity, whose mission is to provide needed personal items to our military stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Emotional health series
A free 6-week series on “Caring for the emotionally damaged heart” is planned at Uptown Espresso in the Swiss Village, just north of Circle K, at 6:30 p.m., Mondays, February through March.
Topics will include: why we cannot show sympathy; dealing with feelings of abandonment, bitterness and betrayal; depression; emotional intimacy issues and more.

Payson Area Singles has no dues, elections, or couples. The Breakfast Bunch meets at Tiny’s Restaurant every Tuesday at 9 a.m.
