Lunch and Learn
Insight on insurance coverage is the topic of the Senior Circle Lunch and Learn Wednesday, Feb. 9.
Lori O’Haver, business office director for the Payson Regional Medical Center will be providing resources to better understand what insurance covers, how to become an informed health consumer and will also discuss the role of the hospital billing department in assisting the patient with the financial obligations of care.
O’Haver has worked for Payson Regional Medical Center since 1999 and has more than 20 years of health care experience including physician office practice management, health information management, the position of a regional director for Community Health Systems and her most current role as business office director for Payson Regional Medical Center. Additionally, O’Haver is a registered health information technician with a degree in health information technology. She is also certified in the field of information management.
O’Haver and her family have lived in Payson since 1997. She has been married for 28 years and as three daughters.
Joining O’Haver will be Shelly Thompson, assistant director for the PRMC business office. Thompson routinely assists patients with understanding not only medical and hospital bills, but also answers questions on what different insurance companies cover with regard to health benefits. Thompson is the Senior Circle contact person for any questions related to health care and insurance benefits.
Don’t miss this opportunity to ask questions about health care benefits and some of the changes that may take place under the new health care law. Both O’Haver and Thompson have a wealth of knowledge that will help better understand the financial side of health care. Space is limited so sign up for the event by calling the Senior Circle at (928) 472-9290. The event is from 11 a.m. until noon and is free, plus a light lunch will be served.
