Comments On New National Forest Plan Needed

Editor:

The new national forest plan comment period needs all of our input. This plan will dictate everything from cattle allotments to the use of ATVs on all Forest Service lands. Check it out at http://www.fs.fed.us/. This will be our last chance to help set our future forest use. I found a Web site, http//keepourfreedom.com. that has comment forms, comment checklists and all kinds of information that they tried on the Walla Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in 2009.

We need to get our comments recorded before April 5.

We need individuals, commissioners, ATV groups, hunters, cattlemen, everyone you know or have heard of comment on this plan. Give them helpful ideas.

We also need everyone in the Western states. It will probably take thousands of comments to make a difference.

I don’t know how this will affect Boggy Creek or any of the recent F.S. plans, but we should be able to stop any forward progress until the new national plan is finalized.

Below are the e-mail and snail mail addresses we have to flood to stop that. In your letters you need to be specific, and don’t let emotions take the punch out if it. Stick to the facts. Check out the Keep our Freedom Web site for great ideas.

We need to appeal right to the top.
