Dr Jass & The Heart Beats are coming to Payson for the 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 9 jazz concert at the Community Presbyterian Church, 800 W. Main St., Payson.
The group brings a wide variety of musical influences into its basic groove of funky, contemporary New Orleans street music, including rhythm and blues, swing and Dixie.
This six-piece ensemble was formed recently for the purpose of entertaining those who love toe-tapping music that reaches the soul, that is joyful, and that makes one want to get up and move.
A donation of $5 or more for each person attending is requested at the door. Refreshments will be served.
