Tom Jones, Master of Payson Lodge No. 70, Free and Accepted Masons of Arizona, its officers and members wish to express our gratitude and thank Rim Country businesses and individuals for making its 2010 annual Clothe-A-Child event a rousing success.

On Dec. 4, the Masons of Payson Lodge No. 70 assisted by members of Ponderosa Chapter No. 64 Order of Eastern Star, Ladies of the Nile and Shriners from the Zane Grey Shrine Club provided approximately $100 worth of clothing to 35 children at their annual Clothe-A-Child Walmart Shopping Spree. Each child was accompanied by an adult chaperone.

Round trip transportation from the Masonic Lodge to Walmart was provided courtesy of a Payson Unified School District bus escorted by a Payson Police Department volunteer. Upon return to the lodge, the children were then treated to a magnificent Mystical Magic Show presented by Joe the Magician and a spirited visit by Santa Claus who arrived on a Payson Fire engine that was brightly lit for the season. Santa then presented each child with age-appropriate table games or gift wrapped toys.

Donations were provided by generous members, friends, merchants and organizations. Payson Masonic Lodge would like to thank and recognize the following businesses and entities: Ace Hardware, Cookie Cutters, Coyote Auto, Crosswinds Cafe, Dee Wesley Insurance, George Henry Plumbing, Knotty Pine Cafe, Messinger Funeral Home, Newport Medical Products, Ted Pettet/State Farm Insurance, Order of the Eastern Star Ponderosa Chapter No. 64, Quality Plus Stationers, The Rim Barber Shop, Tonto Apache Tribe, Walker & Walker Accounting, Zane Grey Shrine Club and the Zane Grey Square Dance Club.

We would also like to thank and recognize personal donations by Edwin Barkman, John & JoAnn Barnhart, Ralph Barr, John & Elizabeth Beresic, Michael Blaes, Dean & Orabelle Bulkey, Richard Ceyler, Marty & Anna Christy, “Bud” Collette, George & Nansi Conrad, John Dino, Robert & Betty Dixon, Kurt & Shirley Ehrenburg, JC Francisco, James Gier, Myrna Gouw, William & Christine Herzig, James & Sue Hinton, Tom & Teri Jones, Forrest McCoy, Ken Parrish, Mark Peterson, William Dollar Powers, Geraldine Pryor, Bill Steffey, Lon Thomas, Robert & Shirley Townsend, Roger & Paula Weber and Dennis & Windy Wilbanks.
