The Payson Elks will have a benefit for the Elks National Foundation on Saturday, Jan. 22 featuring a spaghetti dinner with cocktails at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m.
There will be entertainment throughout the evening. Roger Williams will perform during the cocktail hour; Tim Maas will present dinner music; Roger Williams and guests will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and Dr. Jass and the Heart Beats will entertain from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. with traditional Dixie, rhythm and blues, and swing music. The cost is $8 per person.
BLACK AND WHITE BALL
The annual Black and White Ball is Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m., dancing and silent auction will follow the dinner.
Presented by the Mogollon Health Alliance, the event raises money for area patients undergoing and dialysis treatment who may need some extra financial assistance.
Sonoran Swing, featuring Big Band sounds, will provide the evening’s entertainment.
Everyone who attends will have a chance to win Payson Jewelers’ donation of an exquisite 14-carat gold and diamond ring.
There will be awards for the best dresses, best shoes and best dancers.
The menu features a salmon and filet mignon entrée and a chocolate raspberry mousse dessert.
