Not Going To Pay For Something I Don’T Need

We are part-time residents of Strawberry and own two lots, one of which does not have a dwelling. Is it no wonder that citizens distrust elected officials whom promise one thing and deliver something entirely different. I read with interest the recent letter sent out by the board chairman touting the great improvements over the previous for-profit organization administration.

It goes on to say how the employee benefit package of the new management company is vastly improved. As an insurance specialist in employee benefits I can assure there will be a much larger insurance premium we as water users will be paying in the future.

I suppose the pension plan is vastly improved as well. I guess that is the price you pay for eliminating a for-profit organization and installing a public one. We are going to take out our water meter on our vacant lot. I don’t care how much the future owners have to pay. I’m not going to pay for something I didn’t receive.
