Vendor spots at the upcoming 19th Annual Business Showcase are selling out fast with nearly 50 booths spoken for, according to the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce.
This year’s theme, “A Showcase of Savings,” is aimed at offering Rim Country residents the opportunity to check out local businesses and services they might not otherwise know exist, said Chamber Manager John Stanton.
“With our economy the way it is, we want to show people what they can save up here in Rim Country,” he said.
Instead driving to the Valley and wasting time and money, stay in Payson and shop locally at one of these vendors.
“We want people to understand that time is money and you spend more to go to the Valley,” he said.
A 180-mile round trip outing to IKEA in Tempe costs the average driver $34.20, using the 2011 IRS standard mileage rate for moving.
“If you can get it here, then look at what you are saving,” Stanton said.
Confirmed businesses for the showcase include SmartSystems, Lowery’s Window and Door, Elaine’s Embroidery, DirecTV and Dan Good Flooring.
The showcase is March 18-20 at the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino event center.
The Mazatzal Hotel & Casino is the event’s grand sponsor, along with presenting sponsor Payson Regional Medical Center.
