Seven months after opening in the former location of the Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company, the owners of Payson Home Center celebrated the store’s official grand opening July 2.

Over the Fourth of July weekend, owners Laron and Beau Porter officially opened the center’s showroom, which has products from local vendors.

While the Porters offer lumber and other framing supplies outside the center, inside are products from Colonial Cabinets, Poor Boys Solar, Cowboy Carpets, The Granite Countertop and other vendors.

The Porters have been providing products and services for more than 20 years, primarily at their True Value Hardware store in Heber.

When Foxworth moved out, the Porters saw an opportunity for a local lumber company.

On top of lumber, the Porters are now offering multiple businesses under one roof.

The Home Center, at 202 N. Beeline Highway, is open 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
