Dog First Aid and CPR
Date: Saturday, July 9, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Location: Police Department meeting room
Information: The American Red Cross Dog First Aid training course teaches the immediate and temporary care to give an injured dog until it can receive medical care from a veterinarian.
Fly Fishing 101 and 102
Date: Saturday, July 23, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Green Valley Park
Information: This class is hands-on. Learn the history and proper technique of setting up equipment and casting a rod. Rods are provided. However, participants are welcome to bring their own.
Fee: $10
Rim Country Open Arizona Disc Golf Tournament
Date: Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Location: Rumsey Park
Information: Arizona Disc Golf Club and Parks Recreation and Tourism Department are sponsoring a Professional Disc Golf Association PDGA sanctioned tournament. Participants at Novice, Intermediate and Professional levels will play 18 holes with three rounds of competition.
