Afternoon Showers Are Wonderful

Hallelujah!

The rains keep falling even if the rain is minimal at times. It’s wonderful to witness the afternoon showers.

The ponderosa pines appreciate the moisture along with our gardens. We do not have to water as often. Let’s hope that there is enough rain this season that we will not experience a severe drought.

The middle of the country is experiencing very hot temperatures and the lack of rain is damaging the corn crop along with other vegetation. I hope that it doesn’t reflect itself with higher food prices.

Tonto Village is experiencing a remodeling phase. Not only with our addition of a garage, but a few of the neighbors are sprucing up their homes by adding on extra space, new roofing, new siding, etc. It is a welcome sight. Keep up the great work.

Bible study

Even though at times the attendance is minimal, the class will continue. Rita Spalink will take over for the time being and will hold the classes at 11 a.m. on Thursdays at the Tonto Village Chapel. Everyone is welcome.

The art class with Pam Furubotten has been suspended until after the summer season since there is a conflict with families visiting and vacations. The classes will resume in the fall.

Domino Divas

The fun is continuing for the gals who love to play dominoes and enjoy the camaraderie and good food every Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the fire station in Tonto Village. Come and check it out, everyone is welcome.
