Center for Spiritual Awareness
Charlotte Beilgard will be speaking at the next meeting at the Payson Center for Spiritual Awareness to be held at 11 a.m., Sunday, July 24. Her topic will be “From Proving to Improving.” Also performing in song will be her grandchildren, Kaite Roebuck and Cameron Broxton from Texas.

Rim Country Celts

Republican Club meets Monday
The Rim Country Republican Club will meet Monday, July 25 at Tiny’s Family Restaurant. The speaker this month will be Hank Marquardt, firearms instructor. “The Importance of Being Able to Protect Yourself” is the topic of Marquardt’s presentation.
Members and guests will gather at 11 a.m. to order lunch and socialize. The business meeting begins at 11:30 a.m., and at noon, Marquardt will speak.

A Course in Miracles study group

Payson Area Singles
This group has no dues, no elections and no couples.
The Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bunch meets at Tiny’s Restaurant every week at 9 a.m., to visit and plan future activities.

Plan ahead for Saturday, Sept. 3 and the group’s Second Annual Potluck/Chili Contest to be held in the Tonto Apache Youth Center.

Rim Country Optimist Club
The Rim Country Optimist Club (Friends of Youth) works in a variety of ways to help youth in the community. At the July 27 meeting the speaker will be Susan Campbell from the Payson Unified School District. She will be speaking about the student homeless situation in Payson.
The meeting is at the Crosswinds Restaurant at the Payson Airport.
The club’s next event will be National Night Out. Members will be serving Mexican fare in addition to the usual food and drinks at our food booth. This free community event will take place July 30.
Pine residents and visitors should feel free to visit the Fire Station office to see the Replica Fire Station that is housed with close to 100 miniature items in it. It is for a silent auction, so bids are welcome.
