A one time prominent Payson realtor has been found guilty of sexual exploitation of a minor.
A jury Wednesday found Robert Thomas Flibotte, 73, guilty on 10 counts of possessing child pornography.
Superior Court Judge Peter Cahill will sentence Flibotte Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. in a Payson courtroom.
On nine counts, Flibotte faces 10 to 24 years in prison with an additional 3 to 12.5 years for another count.
During closing arguments, prosecutors painted Flibotte as a “collector” of child pornography, housing images and videos of children as young as three on both his home and work computers.
Payson Police Det. Matt VanCamp said thousands of images or videos, some duplicates, were found on various media in Flibotte’s home and work offices, nearly all depicting children in sexually explicit acts.
Flibotte’s team of defense attorneys said Flibotte was a family man who was the victim of computer viruses taking over his computers.
