Atv Rodeo Will Showcase Skills And Let Riders Have Some Unique Fun


Expect skills to be showcased and riders having fun at the Mountain High Games ATV Rodeo, which will take place at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 4 in the Payson Event Center.

The contests are limited to 20 participants each, if more register, slack contests will begin at noon, Saturday.

The events are: Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, ATV Bowling, Grocery Race, Hide Race, Quad Relay Race, Obstacle Course, Hotshot Competition.

All participants must provide their own ATV; all riders are required to wear a helmet, long pants, long sleeves and goggles. All ATVs must be equipped with a spark arrester. No shorts of open-toed shoes will be allowed in the arena.

If a contestant is 16 or younger, they must present ATV certification. Those 17 and older must have a valid driver’s license.

The cost to participate is $5 per event or $3 if the contestant enters all events in the ATV Rodeo.

Registration will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, June 3 and from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4. The fees must be paid prior to participation.

Participants under the age of 18 must be registered by their parent or guardian, and waivers regarding acknowledgement and assumption of risk, release of liability and authorization for emergency medical treatment must be signed by all adult participants and the parent or guardian of those who are under 18.
