Better Service, Better Price

In Pine, we have a nonprofit organization called CERCA, whose sole purpose is to keep the Community Center and all its buildings in good order.

One of our responsibilities is the trash service. For several years CERCA has been using Waste Management, and we began to notice the price being raised several times a year, one fee on top of another.

Finally we called around to get quotes from other companies, and got a much better price with the same two bins, from Waste Matters. Also a much better attitude toward us, the customer.

We were forced to give Waste Management 90 days notice to terminate their service, then received a notice that they were now going to charge us almost eight additional dollars per container each month, and other miscellaneous fees also went up.

Now comes in the mail, an offer for $50 off our next invoice, and a new service agreement for us to sign — ha! Waste Matters offers the same service, and is a much more “customer friendly” company to deal with — and we look forward to June.
