Moose Lodge events
The Women of the Moose meet at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month at the lodge. The Loyal Order of the Moose meetings are at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
The lodge has a Thursday Fish Fry from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekly dinner specials are available.

Bereaved parents support group
The Compassionate Friends offers hope, reassurance and a safe place to talk about our children with others who understand the pain of losing a child. Anyone who has lost a child (or grandchild) at any time, at any age is welcome to attend.
The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at 102 W. Roundup, Suite D.

Join the Gila County Sheriff’s Posse
The Gila County Sheriff’s Posse is looking for new members.
The Posse was founded back in 1967 as a volunteer group to serve the Sheriff and the people of Gila County. The Posse is called on for many emergencies such as forest fires, floods and snow.
Meetings are held at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Gila County Sheriff’s Posse building, located just north of Main Street on McLane Road. The public is invited. Next Rock Club meeting is potluck at Rumsey
Payson Rimstones Rock Club will not meet at the Payson Public Library Wednesday, June 8. Instead, the club is having a potluck at Rumsey Park in Ramada 4.
Setup will be 3 p.m. to 3:30 pm. Every family and individual attending is asked to bring a pass-around dish. Also, the club will be having a food rock contest. So, if you have a rock that looks like some kind of food, bring it.
New Hope Grief Support Group
The New Hope Grief Support Group is for those who have lost a spouse. It meets from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Senior Circle, 215 N. Beeline Highway, Payson.

Democrats precinct committee meeting
The Gila County Democratic Party Precinct Committee meeting is at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 11 at the Reno Creek Family Restaurant in Tonto Basin (formerly called Mama Lou’s).
Those attending will order Dutch treat meals after the meeting.

Garden Tour kick-off
The Rim Area Gardeners meet the second Monday of each month at the Church of Christ, 401 E. Tyler Parkway.
This month, Monday, June 13, there will be a special Garden Tour Kick-off Potluck dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Come and meet the owners of the gardens that will be featured on this year’s garden tour. Bring a dinner salad or dessert if possible. The public is invited.
