Kittens, kittens, kittens galore! Kittens run and play, and scatter across the floor. Kitten season is officially here. The front cat house in the main building is full of cuddle kittens of all colors and sizes. We have the Super Mario Princesses, the Glee Cast and the Fleetwood Mac group. If you’ve been patiently waiting for kittens, they’re here.
All kitten adoptions are $100. This fee barely covers the cost of surgery, and also includes microchip, first vaccines, health swab and blood test. $100 is a steal for everything that comes with a kitten adoption. All of the babies are using the litter box now so you won’t have to worry about any potty accidents.
Who doesn’t love a kitten? What a stress reliever to walk into that front cat house when you’re feeling upset. Geez, kittens are precious and super adorable! I was actually in with them this morning, pondering what I should write my article on and that’s when it hit me. All the tiny little meows and the sound of at least 8 kittens purring… I should write about them. You should see our longtime siblings, Ivy and O’Leary with the babies. They love them! O’Leary is actually grooming Fleetwood Mac as I write this. I know some people aren’t able to adopt, but keep in mind there are other ways you can help. With all the kittens and puppies we will be getting in, there are certain supplies that we can use. Toys for both cats and dogs help with kennel enrichment and the animals have a blast with them. Cats love to bat around those toy mice and the balls with the bells in them. Dogs love to play tug of war with the rope toys and many dogs benefit from the Kong toys. Kongs can be stuffed with treats and given to a dog that is a nervous barker. Of course we are always accepting blankets, sheets and towels. If you aren’t sure if we can use something, just give us a call at (928) 474-5590.
All of our adoptable animals can be seen online at our website www.humanesocietycentralaz.org. You can stop by 812 S. McLane Road any day of the week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. also.
