Moose Lodge swap meet
The Moose Lodge in Star Valley will hold a Swap Meet starting at 7 a.m., Friday, June 17 and Saturday June 18. Everyone is welcome to participate, as space permits. Sellers need to bring their own table.
Fry bread will be served on Friday and burgers and hot dogs are on the menu Saturday.

Inviting all Christian songwriters
Uptown Espresso is showcasing Christian songwriters from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 18. Area Christian songwriters are invited to come share their songs of praise and their work for the Lord. Sign up today with Nancy for a time slot. Each artist will be allowed to present up to nine songs. All ages, all experience levels are welcome, as is the public. This is a free event.
Garden Tour tickets available
The Rim Area Gardeners will host their annual Mogollon Garden Tour Saturday, June 25.
Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at the Payson and Pine post offices, the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce and Ace Hardware.
British Soccer Camp Returns
Challenger Sports British Soccer camps debuted in Payson in 2008 and have returned each summer since to provide Rim Country youth a glimpse of what the sport is like in the United Kingdom.
Due to the success and popularity of past camps, Challenger is returning to Payson to offer another camp series open to youth, 3 to 18 years old.
The first of the Rim Country camps, which are co-hosted by the Payson Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department, wrapped up June 10. The second camp will be June 27 to July 10 at Rumsey Park.
The CSBS camps include First Kicks, Mini-Soccer, five Half-Day Development sessions and a Full-Day Development session.
First Kicks is open to aspiring players 3 to 4 years old.
Campers are introduced to the game basics through fundamental activities, games and fun soccer challenges. The camps are an hour long for five days. Parents are encouraged to join in to help their children.
The Mini-Soccer, for 4- to 5-year-olds, has fun games, competitions and skill-building activities used to help develop budding players. The sessions last for 1-1/2 hours for five days.
In the Half-Day Player Development Camps, emphasis is placed on mastery of core soccer techniques through individual and small group practices and coached games. The sessions are three hours a day for five days.
Full-Day Player Development Camp is aimed at youths 8 to 18. They are more advanced session for serious players. The curriculum includes game-related techniques, tactical development and coached match play. The sessions run for six hours daily for five days.
The Payson schedule is:
• First Kicks — 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Mini Soccer — 10:30 a.m. to noon.
• Half Day — Two are held 9 a.m. to noon and three from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• Full Day — 9 a.m. to noon; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The fees are $79 for First Kicks, $94 for Mini-Soccer, $124 for Half Day and $171 for Full Day camp.
Online registration may be completed at www.challengersports.com or at the parks and recreation office in Green Valley Park. All campers receive a shirt, camp ball, personal evaluation and an end-of-camp gift.
