The Arizona Department of Transportation will close a two-mile segment of Highway 260 20 miles east of Payson at 2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through July 14.
The roadway will be closed for 45 minutes to provide a safe work zone for crews as they conduct blasting operations on the project. Eastbound traffic will be stopped at approximately milepost 269 and westbound traffic will be stopped at approximately milepost 271.
Drivers can expect delays of up to 45 minutes. Please allow extra time to reach your destination. Once the highway is re-opened, motorists will continue traveling in an active construction zone. Speed limits are reduced and a width restriction of 10 feet remains in place.
Message boards, temporary barricades and signage will guide motorists through the route. ADOT appreciates the traveling public’s patience during construction.
