David Tait, of EVO Swim School, who is running Taylor Pool for the Town of Payson, has made some changes in the schedule.
He said it is expensive to fully staff lifeguards for the four-hour public swim each day. The public swim program is losing money at an unsustainable rate.
To keep the admission price as low a possible, it is necessary to change public swim hours. Taylor Pool will be open for public swim only on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday starting the week of June 27. Open swim is $2 per visit from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
All swimming lessons and swim team programming will remain the same.
The swim team practice is at 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., Monday through Thursday for those 11 and older and from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., Monday through Thursday for those 10 and younger. Water aerobics are $2 per visit and offered from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Monday and Wednesday and from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday.
