Through the grace of place it doesn’t happen very often, but it does happen — getting snowbound in Rim Country. Are you ready for it should it happen again?
How many of you had everything you needed when the snow and freezing temperatures came our way for New Year’s Eve? If you have been here a half-dozen years, then you remember the three feet of snow we had in the middle of March a few years back.
Then there are the evacuations caused by fires and floods. Would you be ready if one of those orders came your way?
To help prepare the members of its congregation and their friends and neighbors for emergency situations, the Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church is hosting a program by the Red Cross.
The event is free and open to anyone interested in attending. It will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall at 507 W. Wade Lane, Payson.
