Six Arrested On Meth, Marijuana, Drug-Related Charges


Six people were arrested on drug-related charges Saturday after police found marijuana and methamphetamine in a residence.

When officers with the special enforcement unit showed up at a home in the 700 block of East Frontier Street with a drug-related search warrant, they found six people in the home along with two children, according to a Payson Police press release.

During a search of the home, officers found marijuana and methamphetamine along with related drug paraphernalia. Some of the drugs and paraphernalia were in reach of a 5-year-old child.

Carole Selig, 65, Michael Bilyeu, 54, Waylon Park, 29, Jonathan Simmons, 23, Joshua Merrill, 22, and Ashley Richardson, 22, were arrested and booked into the Gila County Jail.

All were charged with possession and/or use of dangerous drugs, possession and/or use of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bilyeu, Park and Merrill also had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
