Tai Chi and Qigong
Tai Chi and Qigong classes are offered at 9 a.m. Saturdays at the Rim Country Health and Retirement Community, 807 W. Longhorn Road.
The program is especially designed for seniors 50 or older, but is beneficial for all ages. There is no charge, but donations are accepted.
Evangelical gathering planned for Sunday
Payson Living World Bible Church, 500 E. Rancho Rd. (Payson Elementary School) and pastors Cliff and Linda Richey invite area residents to attend a special program with Terrell and Beverly Glaze. The couple will be ministering with anointed singing, preaching, and testimonies at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Sunday, March 20.
Payson Area Singles
The Senior Circle is sponsoring a day trip on March 21 to the Tucson area. Participants will ride through Sabino Canyon on the tram and visit the DeGrazia Museum and Mission. Only a few seats are left on the bus, so go to the Senior Circle to make a reservation.
The Payson Area Singles has no dues, no elections and no couples.
Its Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bunch meets at 9 a.m. every week at Tiny’s Restaurant. The second Sunday of the month members go to the Elks Club Sports Dinner at 4 p.m.

Overeaters Anonymous meets from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays at the Rim Country Health & Retirement Community, 807 W. Longhorn Road, Payson. (After turning in driveway, turn right at first driveway. OA meets in the Community Room in the center of the facility’s apartment complex.)

Rim Country Writers will meet from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 23 at East West Exchange, on the corner of Longhorn and Tonto in Payson. Please come prepared to do a writing exercise. Bring recent work that is ready to critique. Call Marsha at (928) 478-5086.
Rim Country Optimist Club
Rim Country Optimist Club (Friends of Youth) works in a variety of ways to help youth in our community. The latest event was the Lip Sync Concert on February 26, which was better than ever.
Each month the board meeting is held at 5:30 p.m. the second Wednesday for dinner. The general meeting is held on the fourth Wednesday, with dinner at 5:30 p.m., and often includes a speaker at 6 p.m.
Both meetings are held at the Crosswinds Restaurant at the Payson Airport.
The next meeting is March 23. The guest speaker will be Dr Diane Bricker, a board member of Gila County First Things First Partnership Council. Three students from Payson Education Center will be reading the essay entries they have written as well.
The group’s next big event is a fun family day for all ages – the 5th annual Optimist Fishing Festival.

Rock club meeting
The Payson Rimstone Rock Club will meet at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 13 in the Payson Library, 328 N. McLane Rd, Payson.
There will be a presentation on Carlsbad Caverns.
The Northern Gila County Genealogical Society is accepting donations for its annual yard sale. The Society is a tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation, therefore all donations are tax deductible.
Please drop off donations at the Genealogy Library, 302 E. Bonita St., during regular business days and hours. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday through Saturday.
