Rim Country To Take Part In Day Of Prayer

Six National Day of Prayer observances will be held in Rim Country again this year.

Each of the gatherings will be on May 5. The earliest event will be at Crossroads Church, 114 E. Cedar, from 6:45 to 7:45 in the morning. From 7 to 8 a.m., Mountain Bible Church, 302 E. Rancho, Building C, will be the site of the next prayer gathering. That will also include a message by Mike Latsco of Frontiers Mission. Both of these meetings will include a light breakfast.

Prayer gatherings in Pine will be at the elementary school flagpole, 3868 N. Pine Creek, from 7 to 7:30 a.m. and then at the Pine Community Center ramada from 11 until noon.

The traditional noontime prayer gathering, with a patriotic emphasis, will be at Rumsey Park, Ramada #5, from noon until 1 p.m. Much of that service will be led by musicians and prayers from Payson Community Christian School, along with pastors and other prayer leaders.

The evening prayer event for this year will be at Ponderosa Baptist Church, 1800 N. Beeline, beginning at 7 p.m. Pastor Joe Falkner will bring a message in addition to times of prayer, with an emphasis on praying for community leaders.

The Payson Christian Ministerial Fellowship invites you to attend at least one of these events. Payson Mayor Kenny Evans and Star Valley Mayor Bill Rappaport have both issued proclamations for May 5, 2011 as the National Day of Prayer.
