Time for First Friday fun
The Community Presbyterian Church, 800 W. Main St., will present an evening of good food and entertainment from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, May 6. The group, Anything Goes, will provide the music and a dinner of beef stroganoff, salad, dinner roll, dessert and a drink will be available for $5 per person.
Dinner proceeds go the Child Learning Center’s children’s programs.
The shuttle bus will be running too, so park at the church, eat dinner and then hitch a ride up and down Main Street for the other activities.
Bootleg Alley Antiques & Art
After hosting 48 First Fridays on Historic Main Street, Ken and Brenda Mooney of Bootleg Alley Antiques & Art are still having fun. As they celebrate the four years of this Arizona Main Street Award-winning event, the Mooneys have an impressive list of entertainment for the summer.
Those gathering on May 6 can enjoy one of Payson’s favorites, John Carpino. Another “Best of Rim Country” group, Junction 87, will entertain for First Friday in July and August.
Brats will be available with all proceeds benefiting local charities.
The Humane Society of Central Arizona and the Payson Pro Rodeo Committee will be selling raffle tickets and accepting donations.
See’s Chocolates can be purchased from the Soroptimists. Anniversary cake and punch will also be served.
All are invited to join in the celebration of First Friday on Historic Main Street from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, May 6.
