The PWGA had a fun-filled April to open its 2011 season. The group welcomed three new members to the league this year: Claudia Thompson from Strawberry, Marcy Hewlett from Pine, and Debbie Vincent from Star Valley.

The competition on April 5 was “Tee to Green.” Winning the A Flight was Lois Judd, followed by Karen Peterson. B Flight honors went to Jan Burns, with Joyce Goff coming in second. The C Flight was won by Kay Davis, followed by Jeannie Griffin. C Flight had a tie for third between Karol Uptain and Alesha Calderwood. The Closest-to-the-Pin on #5 went to Lois Judd and the CTP on #8 was won by Marcy Hewlett.

The Low Net competition on April 12 was won by Claudia Bullard (A Flight). First in the B Flight was Mary Jones, with a tie for second going to Susan Torrens and Joyce Goff. C Flight honors went to Karol Uptain, with Jeannie Griffin in second and Kay Davis in third. Closest-to-the-Pin honors went to Claudia Thompson, who won both #5 and #17.

April 19 was the O.N.E.S. game. Kelly O’Neill won the A Flight, with Shari Cody taking second. Judy McFall won the B Flight. “Cookie” Cook won the C Flight, followed by Debbie Vincent. Again, Claudia Thompson won both Closest-to-the-Pins.

A “Shamble” was held on April 26, with the team of Judy McFall, Susan Torrens, Isabella Sockrider and Kay Davis winning the event. The second-place team was Karen Peterson, Mary Cain and Debbie Vincent. Closest-to-the-Pin on #5 went to Karen Peterson and Sharon Vaplon won the CTP on #17.

A “Low Gross” Tournament was held on May 3. Winning the A Flight was Claudia Thompson. Kelly O’Neill won the B Flight, followed by Judy McFall. The C Flight was won by Earlene Brewer, with second going to Isabella Sockrider. Closest-to-the-Pin honors on #14 went to Claudia Bullard.
