Blasting Schedule: Roadwork Planned

The Arizona Department of Transportation will close a two-mile segment of State Route 260, about 20 miles east of Payson, from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. through Thursday of this week.

The highway will be closed for up to 45 minutes as crews blast rock on the Doubtful Canyon Project, which will widen the highway west of the Christopher Creek campground.

Eastbound traffic will be stopped at milepost 269 and westbound traffic at milepost 271. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2012
