Child ID Project at health fair

The Payson Masonic Lodge in cooperation with Payson Police Department is sponsoring the free Child ID Project at the Community Health and Care Fair, 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Julia Randall Elementary School gym.

Volunteers take Amber Alert compatible electronic fingerprints, photos and biographical information on each child, which are put on a CD and given to the parents. The Masons also provide the parent with a DNA swab kit and laminated ID card to take home.

The Payson Lodge began Child ID as a pilot project about 18 months ago and through grants and contributions the Masons were able to buy their own equipment to provide this valuable service to the community.
