The annual Christmas Boutique is in the Craft Room at the Pine Community Center every weekend in November, starting at 10 a.m. The dates are Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 12-13; Nov. 19-20; and Nov. 26-27. The Pine Community Center is located at 3886 N. Highway 87 in Pine.
The gift of books
Gently used books will be available through the Rim Country Literacy’s 12th Annual Used Book Sale Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 12 and Nov. 13 at RCLP’s new offices at 1001 S. Beeline Highway, behind the Knotty Pine Café.
And if you would like to put your good used books back in circulation they are being accepted at the RCLP offices, Payson Senior Circle, and Pine Strawberry School. All books in good condition are being accepted, but there is particular need for recently published books in the following categories: bestsellers — fiction, mysteries, thrillers; classics and literature; romance; science fiction; Westerns; children’s and non-fiction.
Call the Rim Country Literacy office at (928) 468-7257 with any questions.
Also during November the Library Friends of Payson Bookstore will feature an extensive collection of Christmas fiction, music, cookbooks, craft books and more. There will also be bookstore gift certificates available for only $3 — these make the perfect gifts for those hard to shop for people on your list and as great stocking stuffers as well.
All hardback books are two for the price of one throughout November. As always, the second book must be of equal or lesser value than the first. Many of these volumes are current bestsellers in like-new condition. Since the hardback books range in price from $3 to $1, this is an extraordinary opportunity to stock up on inexpensive Christmas gifts.
Bookstore stock is constantly changing and while not everything will be offered at this special price, there are plenty of other titles from which to choose.
All bookstore proceeds directly support the library.
The LFOP Bookstore is located to the right of the circulation desk just inside the Payson Public Library, 328 N. McLane Road. For more information, visit the Library Friends of Payson Web site at www.libraryfriendsofpayson.org.
