Tellabration time in Pine
Once again, storytellers will gather in Pine at the Community Center Cultural Hall to celebrate the grand old tradition of storytelling at Tellabration, Saturday, Nov. 19.
Enjoy a meet and greet and dinner at 5 p.m. for $25 (including the show). Or just come hear the great tales to be told by the artists at 7 p.m. for $5 at the door.
A limited number of tickets are available for the dinner, and they can be purchased by calling Mike Blaes at (928) 476-6427.
Pay at the door for the show or purchase tickets in advance by calling the same number.
Storytellers participating in the 12th Annual Tellabration are Don Doyle, Dee (Buckshot Dot) Strickland Johnson, Doug Bland, Kindra Hall, Victor McCraw and Liz Warren.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Payson, Bashas’ Supermarket and Channel 12 News will join to collect turkeys once again this year.
Last year, St. Vincent de Paul distributed 350 turkey dinner boxes. This year, the need is even greater. The work cannot be done without the generosity of the citizens of Payson and the surrounding communities.
St. Vincent de Paul volunteers will be at Bashas’ Supermarket Tuesday, Nov. 22, manning the doors from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to accept turkeys, non-perishable food items and cash donations.
Also, turkeys, food items and cash donations can be dropped off at the Food Bank on or before Nov. 22. The location is 511 S. St. Philip St., Payson, and (928) 474-9104. It is open from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. All donations will be kept in the Rim Country and distributed by St. Vincent de Paul.
