The countdown to the 2012 presidential election is now less than 12 months away. Most political observers believe this election is the most critical in many decades and it’s important that all Americans vote.
On February 28, 2012, the Arizona Republican Presidential Preference Election will take place and will give Arizonans an opportunity to select their preferred Republican presidential candidate. Unlike other elections, only voters registered as Republicans are eligible to vote. Those citizens currently registered as Independents or Democrats, or those that have registered to vote with no party preference, will not be eligible to vote in this primary. Nor will those who have not yet registered to vote.
If the reader desires to have their voice heard and their vote counted in this important presidential primary election, they must register to vote as a Republican. The last day to register is January 30, 2012 at midnight.
Registration can be done at any Gila County recorder’s office.
Another method to register is to go to the Arizona Republican Party Web site, www.azgop.org and click “Register Now”.
