Located in the Heart of Arizona, in a quaint town called Payson, the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino brings Magic to the Mountains for the holiday season.
To help with your gift giving ideas, the casino has gift cards available in the gift shop for the savvy adult shopper in mind. Gift cards may be used for purchasing a meal at The Grille, Cedar Ridge Restaurant, Apache Spirits Lounge and the purchases at the gift shop. The Dream Catcher Gift Shop has a wonderful selection of gift items such as southwest style jackets and fashionable jewelry to choose from.
Another great gift idea is to purchase tickets to the New Year’s Eve Celebration Party with the Rat Pack Tribute Band for family and friends. The cost is $65 per person and includes great food, entertainment and fun.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 31. Listen to great music in the event center where the heart of the party will occur while enjoying the Chef’s Signature hors d’oeuvres, assorted fresh fruit along with a decadent chocolate fountain. Paul Penning, pianist, will play lovely background music starting at 6:30 p.m. during the gourmet dinner service. Dinner will include the Chef’s specialty salad, Prime Rib and Lobster Tail, twice baked potato, fresh seasonal vegetables, the Chef’s signature dessert and a complimentary martini glass with the toast to the New Year.
Dance until the New Year comes and the balloon drops at midnight with “The Dean-O-Holics” Rat Pack Tribute Band. The Dean-O-Holics have Bob Caudle as Dean Martin, Andre’ Williams as Sammy Davis Jr., and Mike Martis as Frank Sinatra. These three entertainers have mastered the songs, moves and jokes of the famed Rat Pack.
This venue has the flavor of a true Las Vegas show when Vegas was a glamorous strip filled with lights, elegant casinos and show rooms. Andre’ (Sammy) brings the house down with Mr. Bojangles — hat, dance and all; Dean with his signature song “Everybody Loves Somebody” holding his traditional martini glass and Frank sings “New York, New York” dressed in a tux with his signature hat, which earned him a standing ovation for the finale in the Yosemite Courtyard. The group uses props like a large bass fiddle that opens up into a bar, fake cigarettes and an old style microphone to add to the mood.
