Take steps to help cure cystic fibrosis by participating in the Great Strides event Saturday, Oct. 15.
Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening, genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of tens of thousands of children and young adults.
Great Strides is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest national fund-raising event. Tens of thousands of co-workers, friends and family come together each year as one community for one cause ... to help find a cure for CF. In 2010 nearly $35.5 million was raised to support vital CF programs.
Since the first Great Strides walk in 1989, more than $214 million has been raised to support the vital research and care programs of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
It is a great way for friends, families and co-workers to come together and make a difference.
Join the walk at Green Valley Park in Payson, call Lori Nelson at (602) 224-0068 or visit www.cff.org. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. The walk begins at 9 a.m.
