Cross-Country Ski Track Was Once A Popular Activity

Hello again, fellow Creekers.

Well it is about the time when business starts slowing down up here.

A little birdie told me years and years ago there used to be a cross-country ski track that someone had built that was actually quite popular.

If anyone has an interest in creating such a thing, many of us would be interested in helping. We think it could be a really good seasonal activity for this area (assuming we get the snow that we should get).

If you’re interested, please send me an e-mail or call Susan Keown at 928-478-4221. I believe she has some of the information and details on what made the last one so successful.

The ladies at Christopher Creek Bible Fellowship are having a luncheon on Saturday, Oct. 22. The speaker is Ruth Neff and her topic is “Atmosphere of Gratitude.” The event starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Please bring a favorite salad to share. Please RSVP by Thursday, Oct. 20. For more information, please call Susan Hepworth 928-478-4310, Pat Guevara 928-478-4122, or Bianca Malmin 928-478-0977.

As always, I do need your help with content and stories! For anyone wanting to submit information from the Christopher Creek area for inclusion in our weekly article, please e-mail me at:

Any submitted pictures must be full-size (typically around 1MB per picture). The cutoff time for inclusion in Friday’s article is close of business on Monday.

Thanks again for reading the column.
