The Arizona Department of Transportation will continue paving State Route 87 Friday, Oct. 21, two miles south of the SR 87/SR 188 junction. The right lane of the northbound roadway will be closed from 4:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The $1.4 million project to repave a four-mile segment of the highway includes the removal of a layer of the existing pavement and the application of a new layer of rubberized asphalt. The project will end in mid-November.
No major delays are expected, however, ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
