Payson High Culinary Students Help With 70th Cowboy-Themed Birthday

A 70th cowboy-themed birthday party would not have gone off without a hitch without the help of two Payson students.

Jeanie Langham said her husband Stan’s Sept. 17 party was a huge hit thanks in part to Payson High School students Rylie Perkes and Karissa Armstrong.

“The girls were a great help to us as we had almost 40 guests separated in the front, back and side yards,” she said.

“They lighted luminaries and mason jars, grilled burgers, picked up plates, took dessert orders and helped wherever needed.”

Sharon Fennie, an assistant with the PHS culinary department, also helped out, supervising Perkes and Armstrong.

“They added much to the celebration and called the guests to dinner by ringing the traditional Western triangle dinner bell,” Langham said.
