Computer group meets
The Payson Area Computer Association will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2 in the meeting room of the Payson Public Library.
Guests are always welcome. The first meeting is always free. Membership is only $10 per year per family.
Ponderosa Men’s Breakfast
Another fabulous “Breakfast for a Buck” will be served at Ponderosa Bible Church, 1800 N. Beeline, at 8 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 3.
The featured speaker will be Keith Talley. Talley will be doing it all: fixing the meal, sharing about his love for the Lord and then be in charge of the cleanup.

Payson Area Singles
This club has no dues or elections.
The Second Annual Pot Luck, Chili Cook-Off will be held Saturday, Sept. 3 in the Youth Recreation Hall at the Tonto Apache Gym, across from the casino. Winners will receive nice prizes. If you don’t want to participate in the chili contest, just bring a potluck dish.
The Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bunch meets weekly at 9 a.m. at Tiny’s Restaurant to visit and plan future activities.
Members will car pool to Pine Wednesday, Sept. 21 for 11:45 lunch at Nifty Fifty Restaurant and then attend the 1 p.m. Fiddler’s Jam Session in the Pine Cultural Hall.

Kohl’s Ranch Outdoor Chapel ends services

Friendship Bible Class

The Women of the Moose meet at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month at the lodge.The Loyal Order of the Moose meetings are at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

Daughters of the American Revolution
The Mogollon Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9 in the meeting room of the Payson Public Library. The meeting will feature guest speaker Barry Standifird, who will present a program on “Religious Issues and the Constitution.”
This will be the group’s first meeting after the summer break, so plan now to attend and see what has been planned for the upcoming year. Tonto Rim Sports Club
The Tonto Rim Sports Club’s Northern Gila County Jim Jones Shooting Range will be the site of the 5th Annual 22 Rimfire Championship, starting at 9 a.m., Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10 and Sept. 11.
There will be Silhouette, Mid-Range and Creedmoor matches. The entry fee is $25 per day.
Friday, Sept. 9, the range will be open for practice from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rim Area Gardeners
The Rim Area Gardeners meet at 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month at the Church of Christ, 401 E. Tyler Parkway, Payson.
At the Sept. 12, 2011 meeting the speaker will be Holly Crump. She is from Payson and worked with a florist in the past and is interested in building miniature gardens. She did two workshops at Plant Fair geared toward fair entries.
The public is invited so please plan to attend. Refreshments will be served.
The Payson Rimstones Rock Club meets from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. the second Wednesday of every month at the Payson Library. The September 14 meeting will feature a guest speaker on local gold mining opportunities. All ages are invited.
The group has an interesting guest speaker, adult and youth education programs and many interesting field trips each month. The third weekend of November it hosts a mineral and gem show.
