A reunion for the Payson High School graduating classes of 1970, 1971 and 1972 is being planned.
All PHS graduates from the early ’70s are invited to join the fun from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260, Payson. Enjoy dinner with all the fixings for $17 per person.
Following dinner, the group will adjourn to the Payson Pioneer Dance (an annual get-together for the old-timers of Payson) at the Tonto Apache Gym.

Get space at Community Yard Sale
The Community Presbyterian Church Deacons will be having a Community Yard Sale on Saturday, Sept. 10. The yard sale will be held from 7 a.m. to noon. Spaces are just $10 for a 19-foot-by-10 foot area where anything that is legal may be sold. All proceeds from space rentals go to the Deacon’s Food Bank, and vendors keep the profits.
Set-up must be finished by 7 a.m. There will be no overnight supervision, but if vendors stay in the parking lot all night with their merchandise, they may set up Friday night after 5 p.m.
Come by the church office at 800 W. Main St., weekdays between 9 a.m. and noon to register. Spaces fill up fast. For details call, the church office at (928) 474-2059.
Unity World Day of Prayer Celebration
The new Unity of Payson group will have a World Day of Prayer Celebration from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8 at Majestic Mountain Inn Meeting Room (in back, beyond the pool), 602 E. Hwy. 260. This is the new group’s first public event.

Mountain Bible Women’s Ministry event
Mountain Bible Women’s Ministry will present a Beth Moore Simulcast, “Life-Changing Bible Study — Inspiring Worship,” from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10 at Mountain Bible Church, 302 E. Rancho Road, Payson.
Moore is an American evangelist, author and teacher. She founded Living Proof Ministries, a biblically based organization for women, in 1994. Based in Houston, Texas, it primarily focuses on aiding women who desire to model their lives on evangelical Christian principles.
Moore writes books based on the regular Bible studies that she conducts at the Living Proof Live conferences and at her local church, First Baptist Church, Houston, Texas. Through her books, the Internet, DVD, video and audiotape, women from every denomination around the world have participated in her Bible studies, while many others have listened to her on the radio or heard her speak in person.

Bootleg Alley Antiques & Art is raffling off a top-of-the-line new Tony Lama jacket. Tickets are $5 each. All proceeds go to Greg Day, owner of Macky’s Grill, as he battles cancer.

The John Darst Jazz Quartet will perform in concert at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Payson Community Presbyterian Church, 800 W. Main St.
Performing will be John Darst, guitar and vocals; Bob Veltre, guitar; Chris Long, bass; and Gerry Reynolds, drums.
A $5 minimum donation is requested at the door and includes refreshments.

Ponderosa Chapter #64 O.E.S. will hold their Annual Arts and Craft Show on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8 and 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Overnight security is provided. The cost of a booth is just $35. Outside spaces are 12 ft. x 12 ft. Inside spaces have an 8-ft. table and two chairs. If electricity is needed, it is $15 extra per space.
