Low-cost spay/neuter surgeries
The Humane Society of Central Arizona and PAWS in the Park are very pleased to be partnering with Healing Hearts Animal Rescue and Refuge to provide low-cost spay and neuter of felines and canines through the Healing Hearts Mobile Surgical Unit which will be in Payson on Thursday, Sept. 29.
In order to reduce the number of animals who through no fault of their own are homeless, abandoned or mistreated, spay and neuter of all companion animals is of utmost importance.
The one-day clinic is meant to make spay and neuter of companion animals possible for those in our communities who have been most negatively impacted in the economic downturn through loss of jobs, reduction in pay, changes in living situations and other negative financial issues.
Even though fees for the services are significantly less than normal rates, they may still be prohibitive for some to pay, so PAWS in the Park is generously providing funds to help those who need further assistance.
In order to have your companion animal included in the clinic, you must register at the Humane Society of Central Arizona. There is a $20 cash deposit required at the time of registration.
For information about costs, and other details, please go to our Web site at www.humanesocietycentralaz.org or call the shelter at 474-5590.
