Expect acrobatic displays, formidable feats of daring and balance, explosive energy, brilliant costumes and a touch of Chinese comedy when the Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats open the 2011-2012 season of the Tonto Community Concert Association.
For more than a quarter of a century, The Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats have been a high-energy attraction for hundreds of universities and performing arts centers. This 12- to 15-member troupe flawlessly interpret the precision and grace of an art form honed by centuries of discipline and training.
This group dazzles its audiences with not only its amazing talents, but its costumes and more. The Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats are a balanced act — a hit with all ages.
The performance is at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the Payson High School auditorium.
Season tickets are $90 per person, and if available, individual tickets will be sold at the door, 30 minutes in advance of the show, for $35 each.

The TCCA is bringing a different style of entertainment to the Rim Country with its presentation of The Water Coolers at 7 p.m., Friday, March 16.
The final program of the 2011-2012 TCCA season will be by The American Tenors at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 19.
