Lady Longhorn volleyball coach Arnold Stonebrink has compiled an ambitious off-season program that includes camps, tournament, fund-raising, tryouts and an alumni game.

The coach is urging all aspiring players to take advantage of the offerings in order to improve their skills for next season.

The activities are:

• May 29 - July 12: Open Gym Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4 to 6 p.m., Wilson Dome, $10/summer.

• June 18-19: Junior camp, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for 3rd- to 8th-graders, $30 (includes T-shirt).

• June 22-23: Blue Ridge tourney, taking three Payson teams, $20.

• June 25-27: All American Camp, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for 18-24 girls, $20.

• July, 3rd week: Football camp meals (2), serving football players, fund-raiser.

• July 14: Florence tourney, taking three Payson teams, $15.

• July 21: Payson summer tourney, taking three Payson teams, $10.

• Aug. 1-3: Pre-tryout camp, 3:45 to 5:45 p.m., Wilson Dome and old gym, $5.

• Aug. 4: Payson alumni tourney, 6 to 8:30 p.m., Wilson Dome, free.

• Aug. 6-7: Tryouts, 3:45 p.m. frosh, 5 p.m. upperclassmen, Blue card.

• Aug. 8: Pledge drive meeting and packet handout.

• Aug. 31 - Sept. 1: Payson Invite, 24 teams, Wilson Dome, old gym and RCMS gym.
