Level 2 Sex Offender Moves Back To Payson Neighborhood

Sexual offender Tylor Joseph Wilson, 19, notified police recently that he is living on Aero Street in Payson, having moved into town from Tonto Basin.

Wilson is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 155 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. When he was 17, Wilson pleaded guilty to charges of attempted kidnapping and attempted sexual assault. According to police, in 2009 Wilson and a 14-year-old female went into a dugout at Payson High School. In the dugout, Wilson pushed the teen against a wall, forcibly kissed her and digitally penetrated her.

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Gila County Sheriff’s Office and Payson Police Department consider Wilson a level 2, intermediate risk to the community.

The PPD has no outstanding warrants on Wilson, who remains on standard probation.

Police said they will act against anyone who abuses release of the information to harass, intimidate, or threaten sex offenders.

Call the Payson Police Department at (928) 474-5177 to report suspicious activity or start a neighborhood watch program.
