We Have The Pet Companion For You

We all have options. Whether they are exactly what we want or not, we have them. The Humane Society of Central Arizona has wonderful options for you when it comes to adopting a new companion. We have an array of cats in different sizes, colors and personalities. We have an awesome selection of dogs that love to run and play, to dogs that are easygoing and already trained. Whatever type of dog or cat companion you are looking for, likely we have it.

This week, I’m featuring just a few of our adorable adoptables that have different personalities, colors and sizes. Just like people are unique and special in their own way, so are all of our adoptable animals. Finding your perfect match is something we strive to do. Come down and let us show you around and we’ll do our best to find the perfect match for you.

Why rescue?

Every year, thousands of animals are euthanized. You can help bring these numbers down by spaying/neutering your pets and by adopting or rescuing. Please go to your local shelter first when you are ready to add a new companion to your life. You’d be surprised how many shelters end up with purebreds or the dog or cat that meets your every desire. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, I bet they can give you some information on how to get in touch with another shelter or rescue group that may.

All shelters and rescue groups are working hard to find their adoptables a forever home. Please, think adoption and rescue first; don’t buy from a pet store. A rescued pet is the best pet. If you have a rescue dog or cat, then you know how true it is.

Friendly reminders

We still have vouchers to spay and neuter cats on the west side of Payson. Please help spread the word, so we can help put a stop to pet overpopulation. For more information, please call (928) 474-5590 or come by any day of the week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The new shelter is located directly behind the site of the old shelter on South McLane Road just off Main Street (enter on the dirt driveway between the dip and Kyle’s Auto).

HSCAZ is not part of or affiliated with the Arizona Humane Society (AHS), the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) or any other shelter organization.  We stand alone and depend on the generosity of individuals, grants, businesses and organizations for the funds necessary to provide daily care for each animal that enters our shelter. We are in need of ongoing support and are very grateful for every dollar donated on their behalf. To make a monetary donation, mail checks to HSCAZ, P.O. Box 242, Payson, AZ 85547.
