AARP Arizona will host two community conversations, a morning and afternoon session, in Payson on Thursday, Aug. 16 on health and retirement security. The events are part of a national AARP effort called “You’ve Earned a Say” in which AARP is hosting forums for voters to speak out on ways to strengthen Medicare and Social Security.
“For thousands of Arizonans, Medicare and Social Security are the foundation of their retirement security,” said AARP Arizona state director David Mitchell. “We want people to engage in this conversation so that we can keep Social Security and Medicare strong for today and for future generations. We hope people will attend one of these important events.”
The AARP “You’ve Earned a Say” community conversations will be held at the Elks Lodge Thursday, Aug. 16. One session is from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; the second session is from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Elks Lodge is at 1206 N. Beeline Highway.
The events are free and open to the public. A complimentary lunch is included by reservation. To RSVP for lunch, please call (928) 595-4405.
