Joe Mendoza has been named the Building Official of the Year for 2011-2012 by the State of Arizona Building Officials Organization (AZBO).
This is a prestigious award recognizing his knowledge and interpretation of the International Codes, his relationship with other jurisdictions and the respect he shows for both employees and customers.
Mendoza has been the building official for Gila County for more than 17 years and has been an employee of Gila County for 19 years. Everyone in the Gila County Community Development office is very proud of him.
