Genealogy library open

The Northern Gila County Genealogical Library has reopened following a summer break. Hours of operation are Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

If these hours are not convenient for those doing genealogy research, please call (928) 474-2139 and leave a message, or e-mail ngcgs@ suddenlinkmail.com and a librarian will set up an appointment.

Unity of Payson

The Rev. Kim O’Connor is an ordained Unity minster, presents, “Who’s Calling You?” at 10 a.m. Sunday Services, Sunday, Aug. 26. Services are at the offices of the Central Arizona Board of Realtors, 600 E. Highway 260, Suite 14, across the parking lot from Tiny’s Restaurant.

Faith Center West Family Church Payson

Payson Area Singles

The Tuesday Morning Breakfast Bunch meets at Tiny’s Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260 at 9 a.m. every week to visit and plan future activities. Come out Sunday, Aug. 26: meet at Buffalo Bar at 7:30 p.m. to eat and listen to Junction 87 Jam Session until 9 p.m.

Pine Library Friends

The Pine Library Friends’ next meeting is at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 27 in the Library Activity Room located behind the Cultural Center in Pine. The guest speaker will be Mario Belvedere, who will be speaking about Sicily, where he was born. 

Overeaters Anonymous

Overeaters Anonymous meets from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays at the Rim Country Health and Retirement Community Room, 807 W. Longhorn Road (after turning in the main driveway, turn right at the first driveway. The Community Room is in the center of the apartment complex).

There are no fees or dues. The only membership requirement is a desire to not compulsively overeat anymore.

Alienated Catholics Anonymous

The journey home consists of care, compassion and understanding. Alienated Catholics Anonymous meets from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. each Monday in the conference room of St. Philip the Apostle parish hall at 511 S. St. Philips St., Payson. Call (928) 474-1269 for more information.

Celebrate Recovery
