A Last Hurrah For Summer Fun This Weekend

Hello again, fellow Creekers.

The Christopher-Kohl’s Fire Department and the Firebelles wanted to remind everyone they are having an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $5 for adults. There is no better way to spend a Saturday morning than having all-you-can-eat pancakes while also supporting your local fire department.

Monday, Sept. 3 is Labor Day. In 1887 Oregon was the first state to make Labor Day a holiday, which then later — in 1894 — became a federal holiday. Labor Day honors workers and celebrates their contributions and achievements.

Labor Day is also known as one of the last celebrations of summer for most Americans. In Christopher Creek it is no different. It is usually one last hurrah before the end of summer for many of our summer visitors. All the local businesses, restaurants and lodges are looking forward to another fun weekend with many visitors enjoying the beauty of Christopher Creek.

So enjoy your holiday weekend whether it’s at a barbecue or just relaxing. Have a safe and fun Labor Day weekend everyone!

As always, I do need your help with content and stories!
