No-Confidence Vote In Order

I am a new resident of the area and a former federal, city and water district employee at management level.

In response to recent articles about Mike Greer’s alleged inappropriate use of the Pine Strawberry Water Improvement District’s credit card, in my opinion, it is the appearance of impropriety violating ethical standards. As a board member, especially the position of treasurer, public confidence must be maintained at all times.

The investigation has revealed that he was careless and that he assumes responsibility for his actions by partially reimbursing the district.

His fraudulent transactions should indicate that a vote of no-confidence is in order. However, the duties and responsibilities of the treasurer board position, as well as the Standard Operating Procedures for credit card use should also be reviewed. When was the last audit performed? These documents may indicate information that would be helpful in the investigation.
