Schools Alive With The Sounds Of Music This Holiday Season


Grab cameras, coats and scarves to prepare for upcoming holiday concerts performed by Rim Country kids.

Tuesday, Dec. 11 the Julia Randall Elementary Choral Concert will fill the Payson High School Auditorium with parents and family. Last year, music teacher Juli Davies said the auditorium was standing room only and the students performed beautifully.

Rim Country Middle School will have its Holiday Concert on Thursday, Dec. 13. Both the band and chorus will perform in the PHS Auditorium.

The week before school lets out, three schools will host concerts.

Dec. 17, the PHS band and chorus will entertain at 6:30 in the auditorium.

Payson Elementary School will host its Holiday Concert in two performances on Tuesday, Dec. 18 to make sure everyone can have a seat. The first show will run from 5 until 6 p.m. and the second show will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Dec. 19, Pine Elementary will host its Holiday Concert in the Pine gym at 6:30 p.m.

Tonto Basin School will host its Holiday Concert on Friday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. in the gym. The various classes will each present something unique including small plays, song and dance.
