A lot of tags remain on Angel Trees around town.
The Senior Angel Trees at the Payson Edward Jones office at 411 S. Beeline Highway, Ste. B, has about 40 tags left and the one at the Senior Circle still has 20 tags and a Dec. 18 deadline.
The Edward Jones branch offices in Payson need the tags claimed by end of business today, Friday, Dec. 14.
The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree at National Bank of Arizona is bent with 30 tags remaining, with a Dec. 18 deadline and a waiting list of additional families.
Hoping to provide a Christmas for 140 youngsters, groups have formed a coalition, including the Rim Country Optimist Club, Noon Rotary Club, Modified Motorcycle Association, Vita-Mart, Rebecca Acord (Angel’s Home Care), Edward Jones, PADS, and Allic Bales. The group will gather on Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16 to sort and wrap presents.
The party for the kids is Saturday, Dec. 22 at the Senior Center.

The CASA Angel Tree program will provide a Christmas for 20 youngsters, with a celebration Friday at the Payson Senior Center.
The Christmas programs for children sponsored by the Payson Elks Lodge and the Sy Harrison Masonic Lodge #70 provided shopping sprees for a combined 73 youngsters.
